PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of generating a discharge pattern, capable of manufacturing a color filter or the like which reduces the unevenness due to variations of discharge among nozzles when printing by an inkjet printing method and suppresses visually rough feeling. SOLUTION: When a color pattern to be printed is formed by discharging color ink from an inkjet nozzle while causing the nozzle to scan along a cell line, the amount of color ink required for each cell is divided into an amount (standard drop amount) of color ink which can be deposited on a substrate by an average discharge of the inkjet nozzle, and a fractional amount (adjustment drop amount) which cannot be deposited there by one discharge, and the standard drop amount is adjusted by distributing the adjustment drop amount to respective cells on the cell line by a multi-level error diffusion method, thereby a discharge pattern is generated.
