PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device which can be small-sized by thinning a device mounted on a nozzle surface of a liquid jet head, and can perform plural kinds of eradication movements to the nozzle surface by using plural kinds of eradication means, and to provide a liquid eradication means of the liquid jet device. SOLUTION: The liquid jet device 10 for jetting liquid from the nozzle surface 61 of the liquid jet head 30 includes: a plurality of different kinds of the eradication means 151 to 154 each independently moving along the moving direction D to the nozzle surface 61 to eradicate the liquid on the nozzle surface 61; and a movement operation means 138 for eradicating the liquid on the nozzle surface 61 with the selected eradication means by moving the selected eradication means in the movement direction D.
