<p>The present invention provides a Passive Optical Network (PON) protection method, master-standby switch control device and system. According to the embodiment of the present invention, the standby Optical Line Termination (OLT) is connected with at least two master OLT optical links through said master-standby switch control device; when a master OLT is in failure or a master optical link is in failure, the master-standby switch control device connects the standby optical link up, and notifies the standby OLT to take over the master OLT to work, thus ensuring the smooth communication. Meanwhile, compared with the prior art, the use of the multi-master plus one standby networking mode saves the networking cost greatly and facilitates the extension of application of the PON technology.</p> |
