PURPOSE: A composition for the photoelectric conversion element and a photoelectric conversion element using the same are provided to generate the electromotive force between a transparent electrode layer and a opposite electrode by irradiating solar light from a side of the transparent layer. CONSTITUTION: A pigment layer(12) is formed on one side of a semiconductor layer(11). A transparent electrode layer(13) is formed on the side of the semiconductor. An opposite electrode(14) is arranged to oppose the pigment layer. An electrolyte layer(15) is arranged between the pigment layer and the opposite layer.
