<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently spot-cool a portion laid in a pipe line 10 of a power cable 12 with simpler equipment. SOLUTION: A duct 14 formed of a breathable material (coarse-meshed cloth) is inserted in a gap S in the pipe line 10 with its front end closed. When the duct 14 is inserted in the gap S in the pipe line 10, a tube formed of a non-breathable material is drawn and inserted into the duct with the duct and the tube being flat. After insertion, air is fed into the tube to blow up the duct, the air in the tube is deflated, and the tube is drawn out. Air for cooling is fed from the base end in the duct 14 expanded entirely, and air blown into the pipe line 10 from the air hole in the duct material cools the power cable 12 in the pipe line 10.</p> |
