<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an IP network route diagnosis apparatus which can diagnose a route even when network configuration on the route can not be recognized, dispenses with arrangement of units on a user site and consequently can inexpensively perform route diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: An IP network route diagnosis apparatus is equipped with: a route information database 13 for storing route information including a starting point address and an ending point address of a route regarding the route between network units under management of its own apparatus within an IP network; a route monitor instruction section 14 which extracts route information from the route information database 13 in a predetermined timing, accesses a network unit of a starting point address in the extracted route information and causes the network unit of the starting point address to carry out diagnosis of a route from the network unit to a network unit of an ending point address in the route information; and a result evaluation section 15 which judges whether the route corresponding to the route information is normal or not using a diagnosis result from the network unit of the starting point address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
