The fan has a housing subassembly including a holding part (5) that is arranged in an area of an axial air inlet opening (1), and supporting to retain a support part of a fan subassembly. Two shell parts (71, 72) are connectable and detachable from one another, where the parts divide the opening. The holding part is fastened between the shell parts in an assembled condition of a radial fan. An electric motor (3) of the fan subassembly is formed as an electronically commutated direct current motor. A magnetic return ring is surrounded by a plastic casing on an outer side in a tubular form. |
