Pressurised medical chamber for performing bloodless surgery

An inflatable medical device for performing substantially bloodless surgery comprises a double-skinned chamber having an inner skin 4 and an outer skin 3, the outer skin having at least one portal 6 allowing access to the inside of the chamber, the inner skin being made of a thin flexible material that can cut using a scalpel. In use, when the chamber is inflated using a single pressurized gas supply 7, the inner skin 4 is forced apart from the outer skin 3 and is and sealingly engaged with a site to be operated upon. The outer wall is made of a material which resists deformation on inflation.
