PURPOSE: A dual mass flywheel is provided so that a first shock absorbing operation is made by a first shock absorbing member, a second shock absorbing operation is made by a second shock absorbing member is made and thus the shock occurred during power transfer operation is effectively cancelled. CONSTITUTION: A dual mass flywheel comprises a primary mass(10), a cover plate(20), a driving plate(30), a secondary mass(40), a shock absorbing member(50) and a fixing unit(70). To the primary mass, the driving force is transferred from a driving part. The cover plate is connected to the primary mass. The driving plate is rotated by the cover plate. The secondary mass is connected to the driving plate and transfers the torque to a driven part. The secondary mass is interposed between the cover plate and the driving plate. The fixing unit prevents the movement of the shock absorbing member.
