摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor evaluation device for evaluating stationary characteristics of the gas sensor without performing a decomposition work of the gas sensor or a component analysis work. <P>SOLUTION: This gas sensor evaluation device 1 generates an environment wherein carbon monoxide (CO gas) exists, while changing a gas atmosphere near the gas sensor 31 (gas sensor element 102) into a lean state. Hereby, the gas sensor evaluation device 1 can acquire a sensor output corresponding to the state of the gas sensor element 102 (especially each state of an outside signal output electrode 126 and an inside signal output electrode 127 constituting the gas sensor element 102), and can evaluate excellently the characteristic (state) of the gas sensor 31, based on the sensor output. In addition, since the gas sensor 31 is evaluated, based on the sensor output after elapse of an evaluation time for determination, the gas sensor 31 can be evaluated, based on the sensor output not in the transitional state but in the regular state wherein the sensor output is stabilized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
