The method involves verifying equality of a point of a bridge (B) with a point of one of determined neighboring polygons (E2, E3), so as to construct a set of common points. Identity of each polygon is recorded for each common point, and four characteristic points (P1-P4) of the bridge are determined from the constructed common points. Two pairs of characteristic points corresponding to an ordering of the characteristic points are determined, where the pairs constitute segments parallel to a travel direction over the bridge. |
