PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner capable of preventing intrusion of spreading flame into a machine room even when a resin service panel catches fire. SOLUTION: In this outdoor unit of the air conditioner comprising a compressor, refrigerant piping and electric components inside, further having an electric component opening portion 5d for connecting electric wires on its side face, and closing the electric component opening portion 5d and a refrigerant valve by the resin service panel 6, a metallic valve head 3 provided with pockets 3a, 3b is mounted on the side face of the outdoor unit, and the whole circumferences of locking claws 6a, 6b for fixing the resin service panel 6 to the side face of the outdoor unit are covered by pockets 3a, 3b of the valve head 3.
