The connection has a locking mechanism (11) arranged in a post or platform gate skirt. The locking mechanism includes a movably supported lock (15), which is connected with a platform gate holder in form-fit manner. The holder is attached at the skirt and/or the post. The lock includes locking sections (31, 32), which are symmetrically arranged and designed relative to a longitudinal central axis of the lock. One of the locking sections treads with the holder in form-fit manner. A platform gate downwardly swings down around a horizontal axis.
