A body fluid sampling device is provided. In one embodiment, the device includes a cartridge containing a plurality of penetrating members and a second portion having a plurality of analyte detecting members and where the second portion is coupled to the first cartridge. The analyte detecting members on the second portion are positioned to receive body fluid for a wound created by one of the penetrating members exiting the first cartridge.
