PURPOSE: A storage controller and a storage system are provided to optimally use a buffer space, thereby effectively supporting varying operations in smaller buffer/memory size. CONSTITUTION: An each FIFO(First Input First Out)(240A~240N) provides temporary storing before a control device(220) moves data to a buffer(210) about data received through paths(124A~124N) from a corresponding sub storage device. The control device issues a corresponding command on the paths to the storage device. The control device transmits the data within each FIFO to the buffer. A bus master(250) transmits the data within the buffer to a main memory.
