摘要 Described is the process for the manufacture of light materials of open cells made of Zinc-Aluminium-Silver (ZINAG) alloys, which may vary according to the size of the NaCl grain. The final porous material may be applied at an industrial level for eliminating noise and for absorbing impact energy. The density of each material ranges from about 2 to 4 gr/cm3 with an average porosity of 60 to 75%. The compression mechanical strength ranges from about 20 to 40 MPa with a hardness of 40 to 55 Vickers, the power absorption efficiency at 20% of deformation being of 76 to 90%. The manufacturing process mainly depends on the material screening (NaCl), the material fusion and the mould solidification. The materials may be recycled with an effectiveness of 80%, which is reflected in the low mechanical resistance of the material.
