The present invention comprises a filter for removing arsenic from water, its main advantage is acquired by the implementation of a ceramic composition which, based on the principle of oxidation carried out by means of electrolysis, performs the chemical reaction in a quick and efficient manner. The flow of water through two subsequent banks, one of gravel and the other of sand, is intended to trap said particles that are not adhered to the central cathode (iron rod). The useful life of the filter (5.2 years) was tested by different types of analysis (absorption march and paper strip), which already is an advantage, but the small size and the speed at which it performs the operation upon water flowing turns it into a product that any user may locate at home for protecting the health of the family members.
