PURPOSE: A signal operation apparatus for pedestrian of a traffic signal lamp is provided to operate a walk signal in a traffic light periodically by informing the failure of the traffic light of the pedestrian trough a symbol and characters. CONSTITUTION: A switch box is installed in the steel post of a traffic signal(40). A traffic signal controller(30) is controlled by a pedestrian button(10A). The switch box comprises a sensor(12), a micom control unit(14), and a display unit(16). The sensor generates a necessary input signal for the walk signal. The micom control unit controls the traffic signal controller. A display unit outputs the current state of the traffic signal. |
