The rear light (1) has a light guide (3) with a reflection surface (4) that is attached opposite to a LED light source (2) and reflects portions of the light radiation on and above another reflection surface (5). The latter reflection surface reflects one of the radiation portions so that the radiation portion perpendicularly discharges from the guide through a planar section of an illuminating surface (30) and the other radiation portion discharges from the guide via a curved section of the illuminating surface. The guide has a plastic housing. The illuminating surface has an array of lenses.
