An electrocorrosion preventive rolling bearing assembly comprises an inner raceway; an outer raceway; circumferential row(s) of rolling elements between respective raceway grooves of the inner and outer raceways; an electrically insulating layer formed on the inner and/or outer raceways; and a tool reference plane for finishing or for controlling the thickness of the insulating layer. An electrocorrosion preventive rolling bearing assembly comprises an inner raceway; an outer raceway (3); circumferential row(s) of rolling elements rollingly interposed between respective raceway grooves of the inner and outer raceways; an electrically insulating layer (6) formed on the inner and/or outer raceways so as to cover a peripheral surface and opposite annular end faces (3b, 3c) of the inner and/or outer raceways, the peripheral surface of the inner and/or outer raceways is engageable with a housing or a shaft; and a tool reference plane (7) defined in at least one of opposite sides of the raceway groove of the raceway. The tool reference plane is utilizable for a process of finishing the electrically insulating layer or for a thickness control of the insulating layer. |
