PURPOSE: A music record enabling variation, and a player and a method for the same are provided to mix one musical performance part with a specific recorded musical performance part while reproducing a music record. CONSTITUTION: The musical performance sounds of musical instruments are respectively stored at a music data unit according to the each kind of musical instrument. A variation player reproduces the music record, and modulates the sound corresponding to a certain type of musical instrument according to a variation operation signal of an operation unit of performance timing on a sheet of music. The variation player mixes the modulated sound with a sound which reproduces another channel of a music record.
