SET-TOP-BOX FOR PROVIDING SUB CONTENTS FOR IPTV AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A set-top-box for providing sub contents for an IPTV and a method thereof are provided to consume the sub-contents while watching main contents by providing the sub-contents into which a background can be inserted. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(150) stores main contents, sub-contents which enables background insertion, and background contents which is added to the background of the sub-contents. If a user requests the display of the sub-contents, a processor(130) displays the sub-contents with the main contents. According to the control signal of the processor, an additional screen processor(160) adds the background contents to the sub-contents. The additional screen processing unit synthesizes the sub-contents with the main contents.
