PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering support frame capable of commonizing a fastening bracket for eliminating any space from a fitting part while a deformed plate connecting a surface contact plate including the fastening nut to a body plate performs the elastic deformation or the plastic deformation. SOLUTION: In the steering support frame 1, a fastening bracket 2 connects a surface contact plate 22 with a fastening nut being fixed thereto to a body plate 21 for connecting the end of a deck cross member 3 via a connection plate 23 in which the width orthogonal to the connecting direction of the body plate 21 to the surface contact plate 22 is equal to or less than that of the surface contact plate, and a demarcating slit 24 is formed between the body plate 21 except the connection plate 23 and the surface contact plate 22. In the deck cross member 3, a driver's seat side end 31 is welded to the body plate 21 and the surface contact plate 22 of the fastening bracket on the driver's seat side, and a front passenger seat side end 32 is welded to only the body plate 21 of the fastening bracket 2 on the front passenger seat side.
