<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic and inorganic composite composition which includes inorganic fine particles uniformly dispersed in a resin matrix and has excellent transparency and a high refractive index. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The organic and inorganic composite composition includes a thermoplastic resin and the inorganic fine particles, wherein the thermoplastic resin includes a repeating unit which has an aromatic heterocyclic group in a side chain and a -COO- bond in the main chain.
