The device (100) has hall sensor elements (101, 102) for producing two measuring signals (101a, 101b, 102a, 102b). An evaluation circuit (103) produces a signal from one of the measuring signals, and a switching element (104) supplies another measuring signal or a signal with two levels as an output signal to an exit (105). The levels of the signal are changed at 180 degrees, and the signal is shifted by 120 degrees. The signal is produced as a digital signal that describes values of the measuring signals in a digitized form. An independent claim is also included for an electrical motor primary part comprising a magnetic flux producing unit i.e. electromagnet.
