#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a basic device (1) including a sample chamber (9) for receiving a light permeable sample (95) to be inspected. An electric light source (23) includes LEDs (31, 33, 35) for generating light types with different wavelengths or wavelength-spectra. A power supply device (25) includes a retainer (17) for retaining a battery (51) and includes an optical magnification device (61) arranged at a chamber side that faces the light source. The LEDs are connected with the power supply device by an electric switching unit (27) such that different light types are selectively generated. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for optically inspecting a light permeable solid sample i.e. gemstone, and a light permeable partially liquid sample (all claimed) i.e. immersion liquid. Can also be used for a biological liquid and a crude oil. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The device is easy to transport and is compact in structure.
