摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a circuit scale and costs of an endoscope system while achieving simultaneous observation of a normal image and a special image. SOLUTION: A light source device 12 emits normal illumination light and special illumination light interchangeably at a charge-storage time of a solid-state imaging device 23. In a reconfigurable area 80 of a DRP (Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor) 40, a normal image by the normal illumination light is generated by a normal image generation part 81, and a special image by a special illumination light is generated by a special image generation part 82, respectively. A CPU 41 instructs the reconfiguration of the DRP 40 when the CPU 41 detects that a vertical synchronization signal from a drive circuit 28 falls to zero level. The DRP 40 loads circuit information configuring the normal generation part 81 or the special image generation part 82 from a circuit information memory 72 and, according to the circuit information loaded, reconfigures a function part 70a of each PE (Processor Element) 70 and connection between respective PE 70.
