PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that allows various imaging units to be combined with a camera body by relaxing correspondence relation between the camera body and the imaging unit while improving durability. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 10 images a subject image with the imaging unit 2 mounted on the camera body 1. A concave portion 1A includes three walls, a back wall portion 1B, a side wall portion 1C, and an upper wall portion 1D. A body side connector portion 12 includes a body installation place (52), a body side connector body 53 arranged at the body installation place (52), and a sealing member 58 provided around the body side connector body 53 in the body installation place (52). A unit side connector portion includes a unit side connector body 60 and a unit side connector cover portion 59 surrounding the unit side connector body 60, while allowing connection between the unit side connector body 60 and the body side connector body 53. When the imaging unit 2 is mounted on the concave portion 1A, the top end of the unit side connector cover portion 59 comes into press-contact with the sealing member 58.
