<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which suppresses overshoot of temperature of a fixing member while shortening warm-up time in start of the device, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: In the fixing device of induction heating system, when a signal of starting of energization to an exciting coil is received, energization control to the exciting coil is performed by selecting a power control mode for continuously supplying predetermined fixed power to the exciting coil (S12) when temperature of a pressure member to be detected by a first temperature detection means is equal to or lower than threshold temperature T1 (No of S11), and selecting a temperature control mode for supplying power to be determined based on temperature of a fixing member to be detected by a second temperature detection member to the exciting coil (S14) when the temperature of the pressure member is higher than the threshold temperature T1 (Yes of S11). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
