<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light amplifier correctly amplifying light. <P>SOLUTION: This light amplifier includes: a first detection means including a light reception element 16 for detecting light power of an input light signal and a logarithmic amplifier 17 for amplifying an output signal of the light reception element; an amplification means 12 to amplify the input light signal; a second detection means including a light reception element 24 for detecting light power of the light signal amplified by the amplification means and a logarithmic amplifier 25 for amplifying an output signal of the light reception element; adjustment means 15, 23 to adjust the power values of the light signals input to the respective light reception elements of the first and second detection means to be set generally equal to each other; and a control means 19 to control the gain of the amplification means to be set at a predetermined target value based on the detection results by the first and second detection means and the adjustment values of the adjustment means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
