<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device having such a configuration that the contamination to peripheries due to the scattering of toner can be prevented by reliably suppressing the generation of scattered toner caused by the clogging of a filter. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing device 12 in which an opening 120A for exposing part of a developer carrier 12A is formed in part of a developing container 120 capable of storing a two-component system developer, depressure openings 120B and 120C covered by the filter 121 are provided in the developing container 120 and a developer regulating member 200 having an opposite surface with which the developer moved toward the filter 121 collides directly is provided between the filter 121 and a space in the developing container 120, that is, a developer supply member, to prevent the movement of the developer.
