<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation device that allows a substrate to be positioned on an attached member, and also, prevents non-uniform luminance distribution in a main scanning direction on an original surface, and to provide an image reading apparatus and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Three positioning pins 404 (protrusions) as a part to be positioned, integrally formed (molded) with a light guide plate 403 are inserted into three pin holes 404a and 404b as a light guide body positioning part, penetrating through a receiving base 405. The three positioning pins 404 are formed at three positions (center and both ends in a longitudinal direction) on the bottom surface of the light guide plate 403.
