<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional (3D) image capturing apparatus capable of easily capturing a high-quality 3D image, even if the number of pixels of an image sensor is a little, while using a general zoom lens. <P>SOLUTION: A 3D image capturing apparatus includes a plurality of cameras 10 to 1(n+1) and a driving means 4. The plurality of cameras 10 to 1(n+1) include lenses 20 to 2(n+1) and image sensors 30 to 3(n+1), respectively, and are disposed in a horizontal direction. The driving means 4 relatively moves positions of the plurality of corresponding image sensors 30 to 3(n+1) with respect to each of the plurality of lenses 20 to 2(n+1) in such a way that horizontal angles-of-viewθ0 toθn of the lenses 20-2n closer from a subject, between adjacent ones of the cameras 10 to 1(n+1), become equal to or larger than horizontal angles-of-viewθ1 toθ(n+1) of the lenses 21 to 2(n+1) farther from the subject 41, and horizontal angles-of-viewθ0 toθ(n+1) of the lens 21 at a closest position from the subject 41 become smaller than horizontal angles-of-viewθn,θ(n+1) of the lenses 2n, 2(n+1) at a farthest position form the subject 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
