PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of the operation in an inkjet recording apparatus which includes a plurality of heads including an ink head for delivering an ultraviolet curable ink, and in which these heads are independent each other and are conveyed to the carriage. SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 includes a carriage 30, the ink head 40 connected to the carriage 30 through a first connecting mechanism 61 so as to be freely attachable/detachable and delivering the ultraviolet curable ink, and a cutting head 70 connected to the carriage 30 through a magnet 33 being a second connecting mechanism so as to be freely attachable/detachable. Ultraviolet rays emitting diodes 51 and 52 are suitable for the ink head 40. A control apparatus 35 detects whether the carriage 30 is connected to the ink head 40 or not, and when not connected, irradiation with the ultraviolet rays emitting diodes 51 and 52 is prohibited.
