PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device management apparatus, capable of operating a device management function independently from the operation environment and easily performing extension of the device management function, an image forming apparatus, and a device management program. SOLUTION: The device management apparatus 100 for managing one or two or more devices connected through a predetermined data transmission path includes, as the device management function, a data processing means 41 composed of one or two or more software components 51, 52 and/or 53 for performing data processing including communication of a management object device 200 and/or an external server 300 and/or 400; and a code conversion means 32 which converts an instruction set defined by a predetermined programming language to a code executable in a platform 31. The data processing means 42 is operated on the platform 31 by converting the instruction set defined in the one or two or more software components 51, 52 and/or 53 into the code by the code conversion means 32.
