PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which prevents flow-out of oil by a simple structure, suppresses contamination in peripheral equipment and surrounding environment, reduces manufacture cost and manufacture lead time and improves reliability. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine is provided with a pivot 11, a rotor 14, a stator 12 installed to face the rotor, bearings 5 and 6 engaged with the pivot, a machine frame 1 which has end plates 3 and 4 with bearing boxes on which the bearings are installed and which covers the stator and the rotor, a plurality of through holes 7 penetrating the end plates on an outer side of the bearing boxes, and hollow bushes 17 which are engaged into the through holes and regulate the passage of lubricating oil in the through holes.
