PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide 24 for rolling, with which a high-quality round steel bar 20 is obtained. SOLUTION: The guide 24 is arranged in close to a rolling mill 26. This guide 24 includes a frame 36, a roll guide 38 and a pair of bolts 40. The frame 36 is generally a box-shape. The roll guide 38 is housed in this frame 36. The cross-sectional shape of the inner peripheral surface of the roll guide 38 is substantially a circle. The roll guide 38 is composed of an upper roll guide 38a and a lower roll guide 38b. The upper roll guide 38a is abutted on the lower roll guide 38b. The tip 42a of the upper roll guide 38a is abutted on the caliber 32 of the upper roll 28, The tip 42b of the lower roll guide 38b is abutted on the caliber 34 of the lower roll 30.
