MECHANISM AND METHOD FOR FEEDING PAPER OF PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust transfer timing in each paper feed passage and to prevent transfer noise due to back tension of printing paper while reducing space and costs with a simple structure by avoiding complications of the structure. SOLUTION: A mechanism for feeding paper of a printer includes: a pair of register rollers 240a and 240b arranged upstream of a head unit 110 of a normal route CR, for holding a recording medium related to paper feeding and adjusting delivery timing of the recording medium with respect to an image forming section; a paper feed system transfer passage FR leading to these register rollers 240a and 240b; and a paper feeding means for feeding the recording medium from the paper feed system transfer passage FR to these register rollers 240a and 240b. The operating speed or operational acceleration of the paper feeding means is controlled depending on the back tension to the recording medium transferred along a normal passage CR.
