PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which can be downsized into a smaller diameter and be used in a high peripheral speed process according to downsizing and high-speed operation of copiers and printers, which has high durability to ozone and NOx and high stability and which causes no degradation of electric properties even through repeated use. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing a charge generating agent and a charge transfer agent on a conductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a charge transfer agent expressed by general formula (I) and an amine-based antioxidant having a specified structure. In formula, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>each independently represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, 1-6C alkyl group which optionally has a substituent, or a 1-6C alkoxyl group.
