<p>An electric toothbrush comprises a drive source, a vibrating member with a brush, a transmission mechanism for converting the output of the drive source into the vibration of the vibrating member, and a control means for controlling the output of the drive source. The control means has a plurality of operation modes for operating the brush in a predetermined motion. When the operation modes are quickly changed, a transient state during the changing of the operation modes can be utilized for brushing. The toothbrush is suitable for quick changing thereof between the operation modes in which two resonance points where resonances occur in different directions are utilized. Consequently, the plaque removal force of the toothbrush can be enhanced, and the treating feeling thereof can be improved.</p> |
