A technology for automatic tracking processing using target colors, which allows an observer to easily confirm the target color set at the image capture device side. The image display device is provided with: a display control unit (211) which takes, as input, a video signal and color information indicating the target color, both output from the image capture device and acquired as a result of tracking processing using the target color, and combines the image based on the video signal with an image based on the color information; a display unit which displays the combined image combined by the display control unit; and a tracking instruction processing unit (212) which receives external instructions on the object being tracked in tracking processing.
