<p>A process for producing a polyglycolic acid resin composition by kneading a powdery or granular polyglycolic acid resin and a phosphoric ester compound with a continuous kneader, the process comprising: a target-value setting step in which a target value, X0 (unit: parts by mass), of the amount of the phosphoric ester compound in terms of phosphorus atom amount contained in the polyglycolic acid resin composition to be obtained is set, the amount being relative to 100 parts by mass of the polyglycolic acid resin, an addition step in which either a powdery phosphoric ester compound having a bulk density of 0.55-0.65 g/cm3 or a molten phosphoric ester compound is continuously added to 100 parts by mass of the powdery or granular polyglycolic acid resin in the feed part of the continuous kneader in an amount which, in terms of phosphorus atom amount, is in the range of ±10% based on the target value (X0), and a kneading step in which the mixture of the polyglycolic acid resin and the phosphoric ester compound is kneaded in the continuous kneader while being caused to flow therein so that the time period for which the phosphoric ester compound is in contact with the polyglycolic acid resin and is in a molten state is 20 minutes or shorter, thereby obtaining the polyglycolic acid resin composition.</p> |
