<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal that can operate for a long time and suppress unnecessary information browsing. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal includes: a storage means for storing image information about an image to be displayed; a display means for displaying the image; a display determination means for determining whether the image can be displayed or not; and a control means for controlling the storage means, the display means, and the display determination means. In the portable terminal, the storage means stores criteria for determining whether the image can be displayed or not, has a detection means for detecting items corresponding to the criteria.
