<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an outer periphery of the toner replenishment device from becoming dirty by a depositing toner on a rail member which guides a toner cassette into a toner replenishment device and supporting it or a sticking toner in the used toner cassette transferring or falling outside whenever it takes out a cassette container. <P>SOLUTION: The toner replenishment device includes a tray holding mechanism 6 having: a stopper 7 provided to be at a position where extraction of the toner cassette 2 is disturbed in a state in which a tray 5 is not mounted and to retract to a position where the extraction of the toner cassette 2 is not disturbed in a state in which the tray 5 is mounted, and also for preventing ejection of toner cassette 2 by rotating in conjunction with attachment and detachment of the tray 5.
