<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming cartridge and an image forming apparatus such that a matter which is not necessary for image formation can be removed in a state wherein the image forming cartridge is detached from an image forming cartridge body according to the installation procedure of the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The top surface of the image forming cartridge 15 is covered with photoreceptor protection paper 140 to protect a photoreceptor. Further, a light shield piece 142 is extended from the photoreceptor protection paper 140, fixed to the back surface of the image forming cartridge 15, and disposed between an exposure device and the photoreceptor to cut off light from the semiconductor laser of the exposure device. In the embodiment of the present invention, the light shield piece 142 is provided at a position where it can not be removed without detaching the image forming cartridge 15 from the image forming apparatus body, and a user is prompted to detach the image forming cartridge 15 from the image forming apparatus body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
