PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for solving problems such as acid resistance and alkali resistance, in which there is no need to form a coated film for a component for vehicle when applying resin material such as polyacetal resin and, further, a part including the resin material is hardly exposed even when flipped stones or the like causing a trouble during running hit the component for vehicle. SOLUTION: A protective layer made of polyolefin-based resin having a thickness of 0.3 mm to 3 mm is formed on the whole part or a part of engineering plastic surface, in an engineering plastic component for vehicle comprising an exposure part exposed to the air and a non-exposure part which is not exposed to the air upon assembling of vehicle.
