PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder capable of preventing the shortage of a light irradiation amount, excessive irradiation, etc. when a light curing type ink is cured, in a recording medium having high wettability or a recording medium having low wettability. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder includes: an inkjet recording head for discharging the light-curable ink onto the recording medium; a conveying means for conveying the recording medium; a light irradiation device for irradiating the light-curable ink discharged on the recording medium with light; and a light irradiation amount controller for controlling the irradiation amount of the light irradiation device. Further, an ink amount detecting means for detecting the amount of the ink remaining on the surface of the recording medium, of the ink discharged and adhered onto the recording medium conveyed by the conveying means is provided between the upstream side in the conveying direction of the conveying device, where the inkjet recording head is disposed and the downstream side in the conveying direction of the conveying device, where the light irradiation device is disposed.
