PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for detecting a web service. SOLUTION: The web service detecting method includes the steps of: receiving a web service request; determining the type of the requested web service; and detecting whether the web service is changed on the basis of the type of the web service. The web service detecting method operates a test case in order to detect whether the web service is changed when the web service is a fixed type of a web service, and executes a range test for the web service in order to detect whether the web service is changed when the web service is a non-fixed type of a web service.
