PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTV (particle tracking velocimetry) testing apparatus for surely enabling execution of PTV processing in data post processing before performing stereoscopic photography. SOLUTION: The PTV testing apparatus 10 includes: a bird trigger 18 for recognizing and outputting the entry of a bird into a photographing area; a camera for inputting a bird recognition output from the bird trigger 18 and acquiring the image data of the photographing area for predetermined time; an operation means 19 for executing trial PTV processing based on the image data for the predetermined time which is obtained by the camera; a PTV processing output means 21 for outputting a result of the PTV processing executed by the operation means 19; and a determination means 22 for determining whether image data allowed to be processed by the PTV processing can be obtained or not based on the output result of the PTV processing output means 21.
