PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform call control smoothly in a telephone system, even if terminals with different operating methods are intermingled. SOLUTION: A main device (12) receives an instruction signal for call origination from a first terminal (13) to a second terminal (14) from a client (16) and transmits a session start request including communication specification of the main device to the first terminal (S4). The main device obtains communication specification of the first terminal from a response to the session start request (S8), and transmits ringing tone to the first terminal (S10). While transmitting the ringing tone, the main device transmits a session start request including the communication specification of the first terminal to the second terminal (S11). Then, the main device obtains communication specification of the second terminal from a response to the session start request (S15), and transmits a session start request including the communication specification of the second terminal to the first terminal (S17). The first terminal starts a telephone call with the second terminal using the communication specification of the second terminal contained in the session start request from the main device (S21).
